AB 2484: Private employment: compensating time off: exceptions.

  • Session Year: 2017-2018
  • House: Assembly
Version:

Existing law authorizes an employee to receive compensating time off in lieu of overtime pay under specified conditions, including that the compensating time off is provided pursuant to a collective bargaining agreement, or other written agreement. Existing law excepts from this authorization employees who are subject to specified wage orders of the Industrial Welfare Commission, including those applicable to certain agricultural occupations and manufacturing industry employees.

This bill would delete the exception to receiving compensating time off that is applicable to employees who are subject to specified wage orders, as described above.
