AB 2086: Air pollution: small off-road engines.

Existing law requires the State Air Resources Board to adopt cost-effective and technologically feasible regulations to prohibit engine exhaust and evaporative emissions from new small off-road engines produced on or after a specified date.

This bill would exempt from those regulations portable generators with engine power greater than or equal to 2 horsepower.

Existing law sets forth the general responsibilities and roles of the Business, Consumer Services, and Housing Agency, the Department of Housing and Community Development, and the California Housing Finance Agency in carrying out state housing policies and programs.This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.
