Any funds awarded by the court will be placed in the Victims of Consumer Fraud Restitution Fund which will help make victims whole when the businesses who defrauded them become insolvent. Businesses should not be allowed to profit off of illegal activity.

AB 1288 prohibits commercial health plans insurers from imposing prior authorization before patients can access medication assisted treatment for substance use disorders, including related to opioids. Prior authorization requirements create unnecessary barriers that delay or interrupt access to effective treatment. This measure is needed to address the current overdose crisis in our state and save lives.

My name is Beth Bourne. I am a Member of Our Duty. I am a mother of a daughter who used to believe she was a boy. She is on her way back to reality. What her teachers told her and supported behind my back was a significant factor in her gender confusion. I will blame them should she harm her perfect body with experimental drugs and irreversible surgeries. AB 5 will cost the state $10 million annually with no educational benefit.

Forcing teachers to learn gender theory will only serve to confuse kids. The analysis neglected to address many of the costs. What about the cost from the decrease in enrollment as parents homeschool or leave the state? It missed the cost of teacher attrition. Teachers will continue to leave the profession because they will not lie to parents or harm a child by affirming a delusion. Teachers will file lawsuits like two did in Escondido. It does not mention the parents' lawsuits. Jennifer Conan sued her school for indoctrinating her daughter.

She recently accepted a generous settlement. There are lawsuits related to sexualizing kids in schools. Lawsuits about the sex-ed curriculum not being appropriate for an age. There will be lawsuits by parents and school boards about forcing obscene materials and inaccurate books at our schools. In the UK, right now, there is a class action being filed against the Department of Education for promoting gender confusion. More transgenderism into the schools equals more kids being harmed in more lawsuits. Parents are not forgiving, nor are we afraid.

We know the flow of the money from taxpayers to schools, to the trans activists, to the medical complex and the advocacy groups, and then back to you. We know that our children are just dollar signs. We know that you know that Europe is stopping this abomination, but you are transiting as many kids as you can to exact the last pound of flesh from the house of cards before it collapses. What is the true cost of AB 5? Will it be a generation of children? Are you willing to Fund that?

For the record, you were at two minutes and four. So if it could be two minutes, that would be great.

My name is Allie Snyder. In accordance with Our Duty's opposition, I oppose AB 5. California went from a surplus to a $32 billion deficit, but per the analysis, now proposes to spend $1.3 million on a portal to indoctrinate teachers in quasireligious gender beliefs. AB 5 will cost $487,000 for maintenance and another $8 million annually to compel participation in the cult currently responsible for sterilizing and mutilating children.

$10 million added to the already $10 million spent over the last three years under AB 493 to advance harmful confusion in kids and instruct teachers to keep secrets from parents. Assembly Member Zbur, formerly of Equity California, one of the gender medical industry's largest lobby groups in the state, appears to believe it is vital to instruct children to destroy their healthy bodies if they don't fit homophobic stereotypes. This despite the fact that since California began mandating gender indoctrination, suicide ideation amongst kids has reached historic highs.

Only 33% of students are proficient in math. Only 47.1% met English standards, with Hispanic and Black students in the range of 16%. How will you explain to parents you plan to spend money we do not have to convince kids they may have been born in the wrong body instead of improving their reading, writing and arithmetic. On that note, how will Governor Newsom, Superintendent Thurmond, and Attorney General Bonta justify threatening parents who attempt to remove porn from schools? This Book is Gay.

A book defended in the footnotes of their letter from August 1, teaches how to use sex apps and perform sex acts in language targeting kids. It is currently available for twelve year olds in my son's school. When I testified on this, a member implied my quotes weren't sufficient for them to comment, so my colleague delivered copies to their office.
