Bio

Jessica Caloza, 37, worked for Attorney General Rob Bonta as a special advisor on gender-based violence, and before that, as his deputy chief of staff. Caloza was also a City of Los Angeles Public Works commissioner, appointed by her former boss – Mayor Eric Garcetti, for whom she worked as his director of scheduling and as a policy analyst with the city’s Office of Immigrant Affairs. Caloza also worked as a policy analyst at the U.S. Department of Education, and has worked as a campaign aide to several former members of Congress, including Xavier Becerra and Mike Honda.
