The hearing of military and Veteran Affairs Committee is called to order. There are four bills on file today. Three bills are on consent. AB 2306 Mathis. AB 2567 Mathis. AB 3163 Mathis. Those are the ones on consent. And then we'll hear AB 20713. Hoover. We do not have a quorum. So since we don't have a quorum, we will operate the hearing as a Subcommitee and allow Bill presentations.

If we don't have a quorum by the end of the presentation, the Bill will be placed on call. So, Mister Hoover. AB 20713. Public post secondary education, student housing. No, sorry. What is it? Okay, that's the right Bill, but that's the wrong title. Zero, okay. Well, we're just going to do 2713 and all that it entails regarding parks, correct? Yes. Okay, let's do that instead.
- Josh Hoover

Thank you. Madam Chair Members appreciate the opportunity to present AB 20713. AB 20713 simply seeks to grant free state park access to all veterans, active duty, Reserve duty military personnel who are residents of this state. Specifically, this Bill provides them with a vehicle day use annual pass under current law. Current law requires the Department of Parks and Recreation to issue a free park pass for all park facilities in the state park system to a veteran who meets certain requirements. This would expand to all veterans in our state who have served our country. Want to respectfully ask for an aye vote.

You know, I really believe strongly that especially those who have served in our military have extra mental health stress on them. And I think the time outdoors is very beneficial for all of us when it comes to mental health and so would appreciate it. And I vote. Thank you.
