In fact, public health efforts have significantly improved our lives. Americans now live despite my voice an average of 35 years longer than 150 years ago.

    The following changes were made from the 2023-24 joint rules requiring a Bill amending the Emergency Ambulance Employee Safety and Preparedness act to be published in its final form for 12 business days prior to passage in the Assembly or Senate. Updating legislative calendar dates including the Bill introduction deadline to reflect the appropriate dates for the 2025-26 session.

    Yes. Thank you. Mr. Speaker and Members, this morning I asked that the Assembly adjourn in memory of United States Army Sergeant Sergeant Edvin F. Franco of the City of Glendale. Sergeant Franco, as some of us are aware who've been monitoring the news, was one of four soldiers who died in a training accident in Lithuania late last month.

    Sergeant Franco was an M1 Abrams tank system maintainer. And after his initial training at Fort Benning in the State of Georgia, he was assigned to the 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment in 2019 and served tours in both Korea and in Germany.

    Sergeant Franco was awarded the Army Commendation Medal with Oakley Fluster, the Army Achievement medal, with Oakley Fluster, the Army Good Conduct medal, the National Defense Service medal, and the Global War on Terror Service medal. Sergeant Franco is, of course, remembered as more than just an exceptional leader and soldier.

    His infectious smile and genuine joy in being a Member of his team was matched only by his tenacity and his drive. Sergeant Franco is survived by his wife, Georgia, and his newborn son.
