Laurie Davies, 62, is a longtime event planner and restaurant manager who was elected to the Niguel City Council in 2012 and appointed mayor in 2015. She has a bachelor’s degree from Cal State Long Beach and is the owner of a wedding and event planning company. She authored legislation that removed fentanyl testing equipment from the list of items that were considered drug paraphernalia and another that requires barbershops and cosmetologists to display sex trafficking warning notice posters. She lives in Laguna Niguel with her husband, Neil.
