    At just 18 years old, she has already made history in the world of skateboarding, representing the United States on the biggest stage, the Olympic Games. Her journey from the skate parks of Petaluma to the Olympic Games is a testament to her hard work and.

    This delegation consists of 70 high school students from across the west side, all of whom have been actively engaged in civic leadership. They've spent months drafting and debating legislation on critical issues such as education reform, criminal justice reform and environmental protections.

    Many of these students have stepped up beyond their delegation, holding statewide leadership roles, including Chief of Staff and Chief Deputy officer of the National Assembly, as well as various presiding officer positions, a testament to their dedication and leadership.

    Supporting them on this journey are nine advisors, mentors who have long been connected to the YMCA and Youth in Government program.     Thank you, Mr. Speaker, colleagues, I rise to adjourn in memory of a dedicated community leader and Kings County Fire Captain Mark Eads. On February 1st, Captain Eads passed away in the line of duty while on the scene of a fire call in Avenal at the age of 62.

    Captain Eads was born and raised in Fresno, but resided in Madera with his wife Robin. He is survived by Robin, his two kids, Ryan Eads and Lauren Eads Primero, along with their spouses Gabrielle and Holly. He was also looking forward to his first grandchild coming this spring.

    Captain Eads began his career with Kings county fire Department in 2003 and was promoted to captain in 2021. He was just six days short of his 21st anniversary with the Department when he passed.

    In addition to his dedication to service of Kings County, Captain Eads had a wonderful sense of adventure where he and his wife spent their free time camping, boating and spending time with friends and family. Captain Eads was also the President of Camara Raiders, where he and Robin organized horseback rides across California.

    A devout Catholic and an active Member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fresno, Mark led both Faith and Mischief Never too shy to show his playful side and always ready to be the life of the party. His presence filled every room and his stories left a lasting mark on those fortunate enough to hear them.

    He was devoted to his community and we thank him for his years of service. Please join me in praying for his family and the Kings County Fire Department as they grieve this tragic loss. I ask that this body adjourn in his memory.

    Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Today I rise and adjourn in memory of Kings King County Fire Captain Mark Eads. Though Fire Captain Eads served in Kings county, he was born and raised in Fresno and lived in Madera with his wife, Robin. He was not only a firefighter, but a leader.

    At 39, he began his journey as a first responder, starting as a volunteer firefighter in Fresno before dedicating 21 years of service to Kings County Fire Department. Beyond his service, Mark and Robin, his wife, cherished their time together again. Boating, camping, and being with loved ones.

    They were also wholeheartedly involved in organizing horseback rides across California Camorra Riders, where Mark served as the President. I reiterate the same statement that he was a devout Catholic. Mark was also an active Member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fresno. His dedication to his faith, family and community made a lasting impact in the Central Valley.

    Mark again is survived by his wife, Robin, his children, Ryan and Lauren, along with their spouses, Gabrielle and Holly, and his first grandchild expected this spring. Please join me again in keeping his family and community in our thoughts and prayers as we mourn the loss of Fire Captain Eads. I ask that we adjourn in his memory.
