Bio

Dawn Addis, 53, is a former special education teacher. She is the Assembly appointee to the Ocean Protection Council and chairs the budget health subcommittee. She has a master’s degree in special education from San Francisco State. In 2018, she won her first elected office to the Morro Bay City Council. In the Legislature, she’s introduced legislation pertaining to offshore wind farms and has advocated for childhood sexual assault victims. Addis and her husband have two children and two rescue pets.
