Bio

Before her election to the Assembly, Heather Hadwick, 46, was a newcomer to politics. Hadwick owns a small farm and pumpkin patch in Modoc County with her husband. She’s the former owner of a small local newspaper, and she worked for Modoc County as a safety and communications specialist for the local office of education. She was a deputy director of the county’s office of emergency services. She’s the author of a short-lived bill that sought to allow an exemption to the state’s ban on hunting bears with dogs. She has a master’s degree in leadership and management from Western Governors University. She and her husband have two children.
