Bio

Natasha Johnson, 47, is a former Lake Elsinore mayor and member of the city council. She was sworn in to the Assembly in September 2025, filling the seat left vacant when the district’s former representative, Bill Essayli, stepped down to become the interim U.S. Attorney for Los Angeles. Johnson has worked in the banking industry for most of her career, most recently in a marketing role for Navy Federal Credit Union. She lives in Lake Elsinore with her husband. They have three sons.
