Senate Standing Committee on Appropriations

The Senate Committee on Appropriations will now come to order. Good morning and welcome to our Committee meeting. We're meeting today in Room 2200 of the O Street building for our first regular order hearing on Assembly bills.

This will be a short hearing, so I want to thank all the Members of the Committee for coming down so that we can start with the quorum. We only have nine measures remaining on today's agenda, all of which are suspense file candidates. The authors for all suspense measures on today's agenda have waived presentation.

This means they will not be presenting. As usual, however, we will be taking testimony from the public on each and every item. The Department of Finance has let us know that they don't have files on any of the bills up for a hearing today, so their representative will not be present.

So, before we begin, I want to remind any witnesses to limit their testimony to the fiscal aspects of the bill, and please refrain from lengthy policy discussions and repeating prior testimony in your comments. So, we're going to start off by establishing a quorum. Madam Assistant, please call the roll.
