Good morning, Madam President and members. Just want to say job well done this week and there's nothing better than dessert for breakfast. I hope you all are enjoying the Julian Pies from Senator Seyarto's district.

That. He stole from me. By the way, it was in my district until last year. But anyways, no hard feelings on that. But the main reason I want to get up this morning and just congratulate all of us, all of you, for a job well done this week. I want to certainly recognize the majority leader for his leadership this week and the great job that he's done getting us to this point today. As many of you may remember when we started on Monday, we were expecting to be here tonight until 10 and go home sometime tomorrow. And because of the great work that we've been able to do collaboratively and mostly in a bipartisan manner, we're here early today wrapping up our business and we get to watch for the next 36 hours as the assembly tries to finish their work. But I also want to give thanks and recognition to the desk staff and all of the hard work that they've done this week to get us to this point. And of course, all of our personal staff and the staffs that have been here with us on the floor keeping each one of us in line individually to make sure that we got here today as well. So thank you. Job well done. Look forward to seeing you on Monday. For the freshmen, this all starts again in the second week of August for the last month of session, which is always the best part of session. Thank you all very much.

Well, thank you. And let me thank the Republican leader for his comments. I was going to make similar comments. I also want to acknowledge and thank the vice chair of Rules, our colleague from Bakersfield. Her ending last night was simply the best. And it's good to see little Austin with us today. The only thing better than simply the best could be to add on with a Dolly song. But I do want to acknowledge and say, along with the Republican leader, this is one of 3 pillars of what we really a milestone it's the House of Origin deadline, our budget discussion and end of session. And we've gotten through the first milestone very efficiently. And I agree with him. It is thanks to the majority leader, the floor team for both caucuses, the staff, the desk staff, the presiding officers, and let's not forget the sergeants, who now have to monitor our pathways from two buildings to make it easy for us. So there's lots of things to go around when we end this efficiently. It doesn't mean we don't have thoughts to share and disagreements on policy. But I got to say how proud I am of this House that despite our differences of opinion and the lens at which we each put our work through, we managed to be and maintain civility, which in this day and time is no easy feat. So a tribute to each of you for how we conduct ourselves individually. To do that, we will certainly double down because in the next couple of weeks, we're going to have the double duty of budget and starting to hear all of the assembly bills that come our way. I know we're up to the task and we will do it equally efficient and with civility as we move forward. But we get a full day tomorrow to go home to our districts tonight and tomorrow that we didn't think we would have. So I want to acknowledge everybody for that and say thank you and am I closing out, madam Presiding Officer?

In case I missed it, I might have said it, but the presiding officers this week did an incredible job as well. So but again, thanks to the majority leader because frankly, it's 9:13 on Thursday. We don't end at 9:13 on a regular Thursday. So as always, the person who is beyond a type A personality, we are very lucky to have you driving this train. And lastly, to agree with the Republican leader, our staff do an incredible job. We couldn't do this work without them, so want to definitely thank them. And to one of the best photographers from the press pool. I saw him coming up. I said, aren't you retired? He said, yes, but you can always use a good cameraman. So it's good seeing his face back.
