Bio

Corey Jackson, 44, is perhaps best known for legislation he authored that prevents local school boards from banning textbooks and other educational materials because they include LGBTQ and race lessons. He’s a former congressional and legislative staffer, a member of the Riverside County Board of Education and a student trustee for the California State University system. He has a bachelor’s from Cal State San Bernardino and a master’s and PhD. from California Baptist University. He’s a member of the LGBTQ and progressive caucuses.
