Version:

Existing law, the State Housing Law, establishes statewide construction and occupancy standards for buildings used for human habitation. Existing law authorizes any officer, employee, or agent of an enforcement agency to enter and inspect any building or premises whenever necessary to secure compliance or prevent specified violations.

This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation to require ongoing monitoring and inspections of methane mitigation systems in certain types of residential buildings located on land with an oil well.
