According to the Author:
Blue Star Mothers of America provide substantial support for active duty service personnel, promote patriotism, assist Veterans organizations, and are available to assist in homeland volunteer efforts. They are mothers, stepmothers, foster mothers, and female legal guardians who have children in the military, guard or reserves, or children who are veterans. The enduring commitment, courage, and sacrifice that Blue Star Mothers display every single day to support our troops and veterans exemplify the best of American values and patriotism. We must strive to support mothers of active service members and veterans just as they support the heroes who serve and defend our country.
