Version:

Existing law authorizes county elections officials, city elections officials, and registrars of voters to meet up to 3 times in a calendar year to discuss matters affecting the administration of the election laws and to promote uniformity of procedure, as specified.

This bill would authorize meetings up to 4 times in a calendar year.

Existing law requires a vendor or county seeking certification or approval of a new or updated voting system or ballot marking system to cause an exact copy of the approved source code for each component of the system to be deposited into an approved escrow facility no later than 10 business days after the Secretary of State certifies or conditionally approves the use of the system. Existing law allows the Secretary of State to have reasonable access to the materials placed in escrow. This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
